Xerum is currently provided to design partners under an individually agreed arrangement. This page sets out the terms that apply generally; where your agreement says something different, your agreement wins.

The service

Xerum provides a hosted, per-customer instance that records resources from sources you connect, keeps a versioned history of them, and serves them to agents and applications you authorise over MCP and REST.

You get your own container, database and storage prefix. We operate it; you decide what goes into it.

Your content

Your content is yours. Connecting a source does not transfer any ownership of it to us, and nothing in these terms gives us a licence to use it beyond what is needed to operate the service for you: storing it, indexing it, and serving it back to the people and agents you have authorised.

You are responsible for having the right to connect the sources you connect, and for the access decisions you make inside your instance.

Acceptable use

Do not use Xerum to store content you have no right to hold, to circumvent access controls in a source system, or to attack the service or the people using it. We may suspend an instance that is doing any of those, and we will tell you why.

Availability

We aim to keep your instance available and to restore it promptly when it is not, but during the design-partner phase there is no service level agreement. Instances are provisioned individually and maintenance may be disruptive. If uptime commitments are a requirement for you, that is a conversation to have before an instance is provisioned, not after.

Changes to the service

Xerum is under active development and the product will change. Interfaces are versioned: the API contract is the boundary we hold stable, and breaking changes to it are versioned rather than shipped in place. Everything else may move.

Fees

There is no published price list during the design-partner phase, and design-partner terms are agreed individually. When general pricing is published, existing customers will be told what it means for them before it takes effect.

Termination

You can stop using Xerum at any time and ask us to delete your instance; deletion is described on the privacy page. We can terminate for the acceptable-use reasons above, or on reasonable notice if we discontinue the service — in which case you get your data out first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Xerum is provided as-is during this phase, and our liability is limited to what your agreement with us states. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are not yet a contract: the operating entity is not named, no governing law or jurisdiction is specified, and this text has not been through legal review. Your design-partner agreement is the document that governs the relationship today. Both gaps close before general availability, and if you need the finished version to evaluate Xerum, ask us.
